Escape SUV drivers beware: Ford recalls 570,000 more vehicles

Ford Motor Company has issued another big safety recall -- this time recalling some 360,000 vehicles possibly prone to engine fires and 210,000 new models suffering from Ford's ongoing problem with faulty door latches. In the last three years, Ford has already recalled over 3 million vehicles with door latches that fly open when the vehicle is on the road, costing the company $640 million. This year, Ford estimates the recalls to cost them $295 million in pretax earnings.
